The application is an electronic reader of texts from the school curriculum in literature and an integrated dictionary with detailed interpretations of rare and difficult words. The anthology includes absolutely all must-read works of art from the school curriculum in literature from grades 5 to 11 (basic component of the Federal State Educational Standard). The texts of the anthology are arranged in three headings: in alphabetical order of titles, by the name of the author, by the class of study. The total number of texts is more than 500. Both small lyric poems and voluminous epic works ("War and Peace", "Quiet Don", etc.) are presented in a convenient, easy-to-read format. All texts are cited from authoritative, carefully verified academic sources. The authors and editorial footnotes and notes are accurately reproduced, translation of foreign language inclusions is given. Large works are provided with a table of contents, which allows you to quickly and easily navigate between sections, chapters and chapters. The dictionary connected to the reader contains interpretations of a total of 11,000 non-frequent nouns, the understanding of which is fraught with significant difficulties for modern readers. Each dictionary entry contains, in addition to interpretations, orthoepic, grammatical and etymological information about the word. The dictionary includes two modules. The main, encyclopedic module provides students with a wide range of rare vocabulary, not limited to obsolete words, but also including low-frequency lexemes (including proper names) and occasionalisms. The vocabulary entries of the main module follow the principles of educational lexicography. The purpose of a dictionary entry is not only to clarify the meaning of a word and provide information about its normative use, but above all to create an image of the described reality in the readers imagination. This purpose is served by detailed descriptions, all sorts of explanations, encyclopedic references, illustrations, links to Internet sources. The capacity of the main module at the time of publication of the application is 1000 dictionary entries with a total volume of about 15 authors sheets of text. Work on the main module continues. New articles will be displayed in already installed applications dynamically, as they are written; no additional action is required from users to access them. An auxiliary, lexicographic module is used to clarify the meanings of those difficult words for which the articles of the main module are not yet ready. The module contains about 10,000 nouns, the interpretations of which are imported from the site "Gramota.ru" and brought to a single, easy-to-read lexicographic format. New articles of the main module, as they appear, will automatically replace articles in the auxiliary module in the application. Work on the creation of new encyclopedic articles is ongoing and after the publication of the application will be adjusted taking into account user statistics: first of all, the concepts for which the largest number of requests have been received will be developed. In the situation of a systemic crisis of reading culture, which is especially acutely felt in school education, an extremely urgent task is to develop a culture of reading a literary text.
